What is SpecialistVirtucare?
We are a virtual medical practice based in Massachusetts. Our mission is to connect patients to specialists virtually, providing safe, timely and effective care.
Why SpecialistVirtucare?

The wait time to see a specialist in Massachusetts is weeks to months. We aim to solve this by providing appointments available same day, weeknights, and weekends.

Why is care virtual with SpecialistVirtucare?
Access to specialist varies by location, by providing virtual visits our goal is to connect patients to specialists across a wide geography and in a timely manner.
We know that not all care can be done virtually, once we determine that you need in person care we will refer you to one of our preferred specialist partners in the community.
How does Specialistvirtucare work?
Click on the Schedule Appts button on the website and book your virtual visit (Phone or Video) with the available provider in the specialty of your choice.
Do we offer Interpreter Services?
Yes, we offer Interpreter Services.
What do I need for my video visit?
You will need a smartphone, tablet or a laptop that has camera and microphone for the appointment.

Apart from that You will need your:

  1. A health insurance card from our approved list of insurances
  2. A government issued ID(driver’s license OR passport OR green card OR Employment authorization document)
  3. Your credit or debit card to pay your copay or self-pay fee to start your video visit.
Who can see a provider at Specialistvirtucare?
  1. Patient should be over the age of 18 years of age.
  2. Patient should be physically present in Massachusetts at the time of the virtual visit.
  3. Pay for the visit with the accepted insurance or cash.
Which states is Specialistvirtucare available in?

We are currently providing care for patients in Massachusetts.

Which insurances are you in network for?

We are currently accepting Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield (HMO / PPO), Cigna (HMO / PPO), Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (HMO / PPO), Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Optum / UnitedHealthcare, Tufts Healthplan (HMO / PPO).

What should I do if I’m having an emergency or need care after hours?
We do not provide emergency medical care nor do we provide care after hours. If you or someone you know is in crisis, seek the nearest emergency room or call 911 or Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
Do you have self-pay option, what is the cost for the visit?

Yes, we do offer a self-pay option. Payments are accepted with a credit or debit card. Patients choose the self-pay option when they do not have insurance or when SpecialistVirtuCare is out of network or if the patient has a high deductible health plan.

What Medical Specialists are on your team?
We currently have board certified specialists in Psychiatry, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Dermatology.
Our providers are a team of MDs and Nurse practitioners who work together in caring for you.
What conditions do you treat?
Please visit our services section to see the list of our specialties, conditions that we treat and don’t treat virtually for each specialty.
What if I need Lab work done?
We are contracted with Quest Diagnostics. You can schedule your lab work at any of the Quest Diagnostics location in Massachusetts.
Can I use my HSA, FSA account to pay for the visit?
Yes you can pay for your visit with your credit card and submit the claim to your insurance.
