Dr. Aziz graduated from Khyber Medical College and received postgraduate training in England. He received MRCP from the UK and Ireland. He did residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from University of Connecticut.
He performs advanced therapeutic endoscopy including capsule endoscopy, therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy, ERCP and radio- frequency ablation of various cancerous and precancerous lesions.
He has written several chapters and is editor of five books on various topics in the field of Gastroenterology and liver disease including Cancer screening, liver diseases , gastrointestinal procedures and symptom approach to gastroenterology, liver and pancreatic diseases.
His interests include colon, esophageal, pancreatic and biliary cancers, inflammatory bowel disease, Celiac disease and liver diseases including chronic Hepatitis B & C, autoimmune hepatitis and primary biliary cirrhosis.
